Thanks Dad and Brady

Unfortunately, we lost our big old birch tree in our backyard. Fortunately, we have Steve Bates, the lumberjack and his trusty crew to help us take it down. There were plenty of chain saws, and shimmying up the tree, and hurrahs when the limbs landed in the right places.

Thanks Dad and Brady for saving us from those hefty tree removal costs. I have to say it looked like all three of them (mike included) looked like they were having fun at some points - and it was no small job!

So, although we were sad to see our great tree go we're gateful for family who is always so willing to help. Thanks again!

Something is wrong with these pictures...

Okay in the first picture can you see the kids red faces? Maybe not. But we had sweat dripping off us. We decided that there is something very wrong with going to a pumpkin patch/festival in 90 degree weather. Do you agree? Going to a pumpking patch conjours up images of getting cozy warm in jackets and hats, sipping apple cider and enjoying the brisk, clean fall air. Well, I guess we will have to wait a few years for that! Anyway, despite starting our day with a broken video camera and the check engine light coming on in the van- we managed to have a fun time together picking pumpkins. We were hot but nothing that a nice shake on the way home couldn't fix. Tyler has become best friends with his little pumpkin and they have been playing and wrestling all day!

Sean goes to Italy!

Sean took some awesome photos! We're excited to share them with anyone who wants to see.
We had an incredible time in Italy! Sean especially liked the gelato.
