Wanless Lake 2006

Well after a number of years we finally were able to return to Wanless Lake. With some inexperienced horses there were moments of excitement but overall a fantastic trip. The companionship, fresh fish, and nature itself made for a breathtaking experience that few behold. Just remember if you decide to go, pack a raft, because it sure beats bushwacking on the hillside of a lake that is about one mile wide. Oh, and of course, we did miss our loved ones.

Life in La Jolla

Well, we're here! We have had a couple of fun weeks down here in La Jolla. Our apartment is pretty nice with extra space. It is really close to Matt's school and about 5 minutes from the beach. The atmosphere is really relaxed and really expensive - what a combo! It has been pretty warm down here but the sea breeze is just heavenly. We found a new favorite spot called San Diego gliderport. It is situated on some cliffs that hang over the ocean about 5 minutes from us. It is a perfect place to watch the gorgeous sunsets and adventuresome hangliders and paragliders. While we were there yesterday, a man had a 12 foot albino python that we couldn't resist picking up. (It took some pressuring for matt to pick her up - he hates snakes!) We have made regular trips to the beach. It's nice to be able to relax on such beautiful beaches - they're said to be some of the prettiest. A couple of weeks ago we were also able to go to a Red Sox game in LA - Matt has been a fan since 1999.... We are finding that there is so much to do down here! We had a fun week with mom and dad. They sure take care of their kids. We had a lot of fun with Brady, Ryan, Afton, Tyler, and Makenzie, too at Seaworld. Matt started school today. One of these pictures is of him in his new white coat. Although, they gave him the wrong size, so it's a bit small! We better get that fixed before he starts seeing patients! He is buying all of his instruments - between that and all the money we're forking out, it's starting to feel real! I am trying to work out classes and find some jobs down here. We are sure happy and are excited for this new change. Thanks for all of your support and love. We have a place for you when you decide to come visit one of the coolest places!!!

Sea World

We had a fabulous time having Mom, Dad, and Brady down here. It is also wonderful having Matt and Malerie so close now. We went to Sea World on Saturday. We had a great time. The kids had fun and the shows were very entertaining. We got a lot of sun though and I think we are all still recovering.
